3/10/22 - Update on the move!
It's been so long since I've written that I thought I should send some pictures of myself so you remember
5/10 - Dandelions and salad on the way
Greetings all my friends, family and members!
Hope this email finds you all doing well. Happy Mothers Day to all of you.
Admittedly the spring and its strong winds have been challenging, and there have been days where it is truly hard to feel positive about anything.

4/26 - Spring keeps springing
The other day, while cleaning out beds in preparation for new plantings, the smell of the earth struck me so deeply. Such a specific smell, sweet and rich. If you find that life is leaving you feeling unmoored, walk out into the woods or fields. Get down on your knees and scrape up a bit of earth. And bury your face in it. Believe me, it will ground you.

1/21/21 - Winter Internal
"Winter months are not an inconvenience or a passage to be endured on the way to spring and summer. They are nature's way of recalling us to the depths within, an open door in a wall of cold and gray, a passage to a forgotten place, memories of the green that lies at the root of all that is waiting to swamp the world once again in a wall of spring rain and flowers."

1/4/21 - From Dark to Light
New year greetings to all my friends, family and members!! Here we are in 2021, with so many hopes and wishes for it to be a year that brings relief, joy and renewed hope.
12/21/20 - Winter Solstice Greetings
Hello dear friends, family and members, I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the snow!! I have discovered, after spending many seasons outside farming, that the winter solstice is my favorite solstice.
12/12/24 - Projects, walks and down time
Each day I am gradually adjusting to my new routine and the additional time on my hands. There are still chores to do (animals, harvesting, checking on the store) but I can choose not to go out into the field on cold nasty days. I am getting to take walks with friends, spend time in the kitchen and sleep in a bit. It feels good to be getting some much needed downtime.
11/17/20 - Buttoning up, coats and all
Our work pace starts to slow down in early October and we are definitely working less hours these days. That feels right in keeping with the light of each day. I don't know about you, but 2 pm rolls around, and I'm thinking that it's time to quit for the day, and by 6pm I often think "shouldn't I be going to bed soon?"
10/30/20 - Rain and... snow!
The center carrot of this photo is what inspired me to take this shot. Her one leg literally grew into a knot. I love to imagine what was going on underground to make the root take such a crazy journey. Up, down, around and around. Incredible.
